  1. Thank you for the invite to this documentary film, much appreciated.
It showed the big influence of the Swiss in that region.

I am however curious as to why the “Swiss Chalet” and the flowers – decorations so vividly present in Switzerland, seem to be absent or somewhat rare in the Banff- Golden. The Swiss influence did not go that far it seems.
There was a brief mention of the Edelweiss village, but one could not see the houses, and I did not see this on my recent visit to the Banff- Golden – Jasper area.
    Why ? any ideas.?

In Levenworth, Washington state, there is an attempt to re-create the atmosphere of Austria/Bavaria, and it works wonders for the US tourists. Everyone talks about it etc.
But BC, remains very stark, utilitarian, few frills on the vast majority of houses.
    Just curious.
