December 12th, 2013 – 8:00 pm – An annual favourite! Join us at the Vancouver Christmas Market for a chance to see the Vancouver Swiss Choir perform!
November 16th, 2013 – 4:00 pm – EU Book Club discussion on Swiss novel Seven Years (Sieben Jahre) by Peter Stamm. Organized by the Consulate General of Switzerland in collaboration with EUNIC Canada-Vancouver and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Vancouver. more information
November 7th, 2013 – 5:30 pm – Book Launch of Swiss Immigration to Canada. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet the author, special guests featured in the book and get your copy signed by Ilona following the program. Doors open: 5:30 pm Program starts: 6:00 pm. October 29th, 2013 – 6:15 pm – Screening of “JUMP” by Bindu de Stoppani. Organized by the Consulate General of Switzerland in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Vancouver. Free admission, no need to preregister. more information
October 26th, 2013 – 5:30 pm – The Edmonton Swiss Men’s Choir held it’s annual Winzerfest – Vintage Festival before a sold out audience. Dinner – Grand Concert – Presentations – Tombola Prizes – Dance to live music. www.esmca.ca
September 12th-October 17th, 2013 – “Swiss Positions: 33 takes on sustainable approaches to building” is a collection of photographs of 33 key projects from the Swiss construction sector over the past twenty years. Admission is free. The exhibit is open to the public from Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
October 6th, 2013 – 5:30 pm – One of the major LIKE+++MINDED projects premiered in BANFF! Swiss Guides in the Canadian Rockies – Beyond Adventure is a documentary about the history of the Swiss Guides who helped to shape mountain culture in Western Canada. The Premiere Screening was a free community event at The Banff Centre, Banff, Alberta.
October 4th, 2013 – 6:00 pm – The Interior Swiss Club supported by Swiss100Canada present a Concert and Dance at the Schubert Centre in Vernon, BC. Special guests: Edmonton Swiss Men’s Choir. Doors at 6:00 pm, Dinner at 7:00 pm and Concert at 8:00 pm. For more information www.interiorswissclub.ca
September 26th, 2013 – 6:30 pm – Vancouver premiere of Swiss Guides in the Canadian Rockies – Beyond Adventure! This documentary about the history of the Swiss Guides who helped to shape mountain culture in Western Canada is screened at a free community. Free entry. July 29th, 2013 – 12:00 pm – Switzerland celebrates Swiss National Day at Canada Place. Nicolas Senn, the award-winning musical TV star from Switzerland gives the public one more free performance. Also watch for a special violin and an alphorn performance. Find more information here.
July 28th, 2013 – 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm – Switzerland celebrates Swiss National Day with free community performances by musical star Nicolas Senn on his hammered dulcimer (Hackbrett) from Switzerland. Join us on top of Grouse Mountain on the plaza for a great show! Find more information here.
July 27th, 2013 – 6:00 pm–11:00 pm – The Swiss Society of Vancouver and the Swiss Canadian Mountain Range Association’s National Day Celebration will be held at 3501 Conifer Drive, Coquitlam. Hackbrettler Nikolas Senn has been invited from Switzerland and will entertain the visitors as well as the Vancouver Dorfmusik and the Vancouver Swiss Choir. Young local violinist, Jan Bislin, will also be performing. Find more information here.
June 15th, 2013 – 7:30 pm – Join the Vancouver Swiss Choir with special guests Karin Streule form Switzerland and the Edmonton Swiss Men’s Choir for the Annual Spring Concert. This year, entitled “LIKE+++MINDED” proudly supported by Swiss100Canada. Tickets available at the door.

May 26th, 2013 – 11:00 am–6:00 pm – Day 2 of EuroFest at Swangard Stadium, Burnaby. With activities for the children, entertainment and a special Swiss presence, this year’s EuroFest is sure to please!
May 25th, 2013 – 11:00 am–11:00 pm – For the first time the 16th annual European Festival eurofestbcsociety.com will take place over two days at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby. Switzerland will be the featured country with the traditional climbing wall and much more!
May 20th, 2013 – 9:00 am–12:00 pm – The Victoria Swiss Society participated in the annual Victoria Day Parade with a spectacular float in celebration of the centennial.
